Almond chocolatechip cookies

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (at room temperature)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup light brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs room temperature

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract 

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour  

  • 1 tsp baking soda sifted

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup of chocolate chips 

  • 1 cup chopped almonds (optional almonds or chocolate)

INSTRUCTIONS:

​

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

​

2. Beat the butter and sugar together then add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Do not overbeat.

​

 3. Add in the salt, flour and baking soda (sift it in, in 3rds) 

 

4. Once everything is well-combined use a spatula to mix in the chocolate and almonds.

​

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 -13 minutes!

​

6. Let it cool for 10 minutes then enjoy!

Kitchen Tips:

Tip 1

Do not over mix the dough this makes the cookie dense.

Tip 2

Underbake your cookies by 1-2 minute for a softer chewier cookie.
