Bananna Bread Twist

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (at room temperature)

  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar 

  • 4 very ripe bananas 

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 

  • 1/2 tsp salt 

  • 1 tsp baking soda 

  • 2/3 or 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip (Optional, quantity based on personal   preference)

  • 1/2 cup raisins or walnuts/ nuts of choice (Optional)

  • Cinnamon (Optional)

  • Maple butter topping (Optional)

INSTRUCTION:

Banana Bread:

 

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and lightly flour the bread loaf pan.

2. Mix together the sugar, butter, and eggs.

​

3. Mash bananas until a chunky consistency is reached. 

 

 4. Add the vanilla extract and mix until it is well blended.

 

5. Add in the dry ingredients - flour, baking soda and salt. Add all the remaining ingredients until incorporated.

6. Stir in the chocolate chips and then pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.

​

7. Bake for 50 - 65 minutes at 350F.

 

8. Allow the banana bread to cool on the wire rack for at least 20-30 minutes before serving. 

 

Maple butter topping:

​

Add a tablespoon of butter and two tablespoons of cream cheese(optional) and 1/4 cup or less of maple syrup. 

You can mix these ingredients according to your desire mix them well and spread on your banana bread when you want to eat them!
