Maple Pecan Pie

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup chopped Pecans 

1/2 cup unsalted butter (at room temperature)

2 Large eggs

1/4 tsp salt 

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/8 cup maple syrup

Some cinnamon powder (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

 

2. Mix in all the ingredients together in one bowl. You do not need to follow a specific order for this recipe.

 

3. Use a whisk and thoroughly mix the ingredients until well combined. 

 

4.  Generously butter a mini muffin tin or a regular muffin tin and then sprinkle a little bit of flour. This will allow the muffin to easily come out of the tin. (DO NOT USE MUFFIN LINERS)

 

5. Use an ice-cream scooper to evenly scoop your batter into the tin. Then top each muffin with a pecan and then bake for 15 minutes.

 

6. Once the muffins are out of the oven add 1-2 tsp of maple syrup on top of each muffin, while they are still hot.

 

7. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 -10 min then gently remove it from the tin and enjoy!

 

Kitchen Tips:

Tip 1

For a regular muffin tin bake for around 17-20 minutes and exactly 15 min for a mini muffin tin.

Tip 2

Insert a toothpick to check if your muffin is cooked. The toothpick should come out clean but a little moist.

Tip 3

If you are filling it in the normal muffin tin fill it only halfway. This recipe is originally for a mini muffin.
