For a home baker the one must have in your kitchen is 'measurement cups!' Other than weighing all the ingredients, there is no substitute to measuring cups! But if you want to up your game or professionalism as a baker then it would be beneficial to invest in a basic baking essential set.
Having the exact baking pan size is not as imperative as having the set of measuring cups. Baking times can be adjusted accordingly but wrong measurements can lead to a baking mess!
