Bruschetta

INGREDIENTS:

​

4 - 6 ripe tomatoes

2 cloves of garlic finely chopped

1tbsp extra virgin olive oil 

1tsp balsamic vinegar 

4 - 6 thinly sliced basil leaves

1/2 tsp salt 

1/4 tsp pepper 

1/4 tsp oregano

1/4 tsp lemon

1/4 cup parmesan cheese

1 ciabatta bread loaf or one french bread loaf

INSTRUCTIONS:

​

1. Slice the bread (medium thickness) and add a thin layer of butter and toast in the oven on low heat for about 5 minutes.

​

2. Cut your tomatoes and basil and mix it in a bowl and add in the rest of the ingredients.

​

3. Once the bread is slightly toasted, remove it from the oven and top with the tomato filling and put it back in the oven for around a minute on medium heat.

​

4. Once your bruschetta is out of the oven sprinkle parmesan cheese and garnish with some thinly sliced basil and an additional drop of balsamic vinegar!

​

** For similar recipes you can simply substitute tomato toppings for spinach toppings and follow the same instructions: bake, add the topping, bake, sprinkle cheese and garnish!
